Causes

Vertigo is usually caused by ailments or conditions of the brain and inner ear. Some causes of vertigo can be inflammation of the inner ear because of an infection, a tumor known as an acoustic neuroma, bleeding of the brain, head and neck trauma, or early onset of multiple sclerosis.

Symptoms

Vertigo is often confused with dizziness or lightheadedness. Symptoms of vertigo are a body or surroundings, nausea, vomiting, sweating, loss of hearing, ringing in the ears, weakness, lethargy, and visual anomalies.
