Tesla Max Therapy: Electrical Stimulation.

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) is a popular, non-invasive treatment that has been used for decades. EMS use has been on the rise lately as many people are discovering the benefits of this exciting, drug-free, non-invasive, safe, and painless therapy. EMS can be a powerful tool for building strength, rehabilitating injuries, and even preventing the spread of immobilization. Tesla Max is truly the cutting edge in electrical muscle stimulation technology, providing unique benefits over most of its competitors. We here at Advanced Health Solutions – GA Spine & Disc pride ourselves in offering the best and most advanced and effective EMS options available for our patients.

EMS sends high-frequency electric signals into muscles and tissues to soothe and relieve pain. When you begin this treatment, electrodes are placed on the skin where the pain is. If you have a shoulder problem, for instance, they would be placed right there.

Current is then transmitted into your skin. There are two electrodes that send two signals into your skin. They interfere or interact with each other to stimulate the nerves and tissues deep under the skin.

How Does It Work?

Nerves are stimulated, as well as muscle tissue, and that can speed up the healing process. It feels like a minor prick or a tickle and is not painful at all. These electronic impulses also cause the body to produce endorphins, which is a chemical that makes you feel good and reduces pain.

The key to this treatment is the depth at which it operates in your body. It is not treating just the area under the electrode patches. The two frequencies create a single frequency which is what causes the stimulation that results in healing. The frequencies can also be adjusted to go even deeper when needed.

Tesla Max Therapy is the world’s top-notch programmable high-voltage, low-amperage AC output neuromuscular electric stimulator. A high voltage, low amperage signal is sent to the muscle causing an extremely strong contraction.

Tesla Max Therapy is used to treat various conditions, including peripheral neuropathy, back pain, acute, sub-acute, and chronic pain, bursitis, arthritis, carpal tunnel symptoms, fibromyalgia, tendonitis, soft tissue injuries, tennis elbow, and muscle strain.

How Will This Drug-Free, Non-Invasive, Safe, and Painless Treatment Help You?

  1. Cure Urinary Incontinence

Urinary incontinence is a condition caused when the pelvic floor muscles that aid in bladder control become weak and atrophied. Tesla Max Therapy directly addresses this problem by using electrical stimulation to produce powerful muscle contractions.

  1. Nerve Stimulation Nerve Pain Relief

Neuromuscular electrical stimulation has been promising in aiding nerve repair after nerve injury. It has also been shown to help with neuropathy pain by blocking pain signals to the brain, triggering the release of pain-inhibiting neurotransmitters.

  1. Improved Local Circulation

The strong muscle contractions created by the TeslaMax increase blood flow to treated areas, providing damaged nerves with the oxygen and glucose they so badly need by squeezing against nearby arteries and veins.

  1. Improved Lymphatic Drainage

When lymph backs up in an area of the body, it can damage nerves. Tesla-Based Technology gets the lymph moving again with ultra-deep yet totally comfortable muscle contractions. Get powerful, safe, and effective muscle stimulations/contractions with no pain or discomfort!

TeslaMax EMS Can Be Used For

What is Peripheral Neuropathy?

Neuropathy is weakness, shooting pain, tingling, numbness, and sensitivity that occur as a result of nerve damage. Peripheral means “on the outside” and peripheral neuropathy refers to neuropathy that affects the nerves sending signals from the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system) out to the rest of the body. Peripheral neuropathy often begins in the feet and hands and moves inward as it progresses.

Peripheral neuropathy refers to nerve damage or dysfunction outside the brain and spinal cord. Nerves outside of these areas are called peripheral nerves—they communicate with your brain to register sensations like hot, cold, and pain. When the nerves are damaged, they send signals to your brain that can result in pain, numbness, tingling, and muscle weakness.

Peripheral neuropathy is a painful condition that may be difficult to cure or treat with traditional medicine, depending on the underlying cause. Patients have reported experiencing stabbing and burning pain that worsens over time. It usually starts in the hands and feet but can extend to other parts of the body as well.

Peripheral neuropathy is a disorder of the peripheral nerves: the motor, sensory, and autonomic nerves that connect the spinal cord to muscles, skin, and internal organs. It usually affects the hands and feet, causing weakness, numbness, tingling, and pain.

TeslaMax Treating Neuropathy

Peripheral neuropathy treatment using Tesla-based Technology (TBT), is a new and revolutionary type of treatment. Peripheral neuropathy treatment works by targeting a specific area and applying short, deep, electric currents into the body. These jolts of electric impulses are gentle and painless but very effective at causing the body to regenerate crucial components.

Tesla Max uses a proprietary form of alternating current (AC) while the direct current (DC)-based muscle stimulators like TENS and most other muscle stim units use direct current at higher amperage levels, which can painfully sting and even burn the skin while creating weak muscle contractions.

TeslaMax produces very strong yet totally painless muscle contractions in your legs, feet, and other areas affected by peripheral neuropathy. These deep muscle contractions dramatically improve local circulation and remove excess fluid build-up (edema).

Restoring healthy blood flow and pushing out edema provides an optimal environment for the body so it can repair the nerve damage that causes neuropathy.

What Causes Peripheral Neuropathy?

Peripheral neuropathy can result from several different conditions, such as diabetes, autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and lupus, infections, tumors, trauma, alcoholism, and medications, including chemotherapy.

People who work in professions requiring frequent repetitive movement are likely to develop neuropathy. In fact, 25 to 30 million Americans will experience neuropathy in their lifetime.

If the underlying cause of the peripheral neuropathy is resolved, many patients will see a reduction in symptoms. However, if the cause can’t be cured or is unknown, alternative therapies for peripheral neuropathy may help reduce or manage pain.

Treatment For Peripheral Neuropathy

The Tesla Max Therapy is a recent treatment breakthrough that helps reduce or eliminate the pain of peripheral neuropathy. It is a safe, gentle medical device that uses alternating currents to stimulate muscle contractions in the body. These contractions are painless, and increase blood flow to the affected area, stimulate the nerves and enhance lymphatic drainage. This, in turn, allows the body to heal the damaged nerves.

The Tesla Max Therapy is superior to direct current treatments because it is a gentler experience for the patient—direct currents can sting or burn, but alternating currents can painlessly penetrate even the deepest muscle fibers and tissue.

Growth factor allografts may also be an effective treatment. They can be injected into the damaged areas, and offer superior results when combined with electrical current therapy.

The right type of neuropathy treatment will depend on your circumstances and needs, as well as the underlying conditions that may have caused neuropathy. An experienced doctor like Dr. Kal can help you find the most effective treatment option(s).

How Do Neuropathy Patients Benefit from Tesla-based Technology?

  1. Improved Local Circulation– The Tesla-based Technology in Tesla Max Therapy uses a proprietary form of electrical stimulation that can target even the deepest muscle fibers, creating strong muscle contractions throughout the treated area.

These muscle contractions increase local blood flow so that damaged nerves can get the oxygen and glucose they so badly need. One of the ways muscle contractions increase blood flow is by squeezing against nearby arteries and veins. This pushes oxygen-rich blood into surrounding tissues and moves de-oxygenated blood back to the heart.

  1. Improved Lymphatic Drainage– Normally, our bodies rely on the small muscle contractions we make throughout the day to move lymph out of tissues and into and through the lymph vessels.

For some patients, however, the lymphatic system may not work properly due to certain health conditions, the use of some medications, or limited physical activity. Edema is often the result, and nerve damage can follow.

Tesla Max Therapy gets the lymph moving again with ultra-deep yet totally comfortable muscle contractions.

  1. Nerve Stimulation– Tesla Max Therapy not only stimulates muscles but nerves as well. Transcutaneous (across the skin) nerve stimulation has been promising in aiding nerve repair after nerve injury via increased circulation.

It has also been shown to help with neuropathy pain by blocking pain signals to the brain and triggering the release of pain-inhibiting neurotransmitters.
